*APR = Annual Percentage Rate. The APR will be based on the Prime Rate as published in The Wall Street Journal Money section (Index) plus a margin between 3.9% and 9.9% based on your credit profile. The Annual Percentage Rate is subject to change each time there is a change in the Index and will be effective on the first day of the next statement cycle. The Annual Percentage Rate will never be greater than 18.00%.
**For qualifying accounts, all purchases posted to the account during the first 90 days after the account open date, up to your available credit limit, will receive a promotional 0% APR. The promotional rate will be good for 15 months. The APR for any remaining promotional balances will increase to the standard APR for purchases, and all subsequent purchases will receive the standard APR for purchases. Take Control of your Credit (and Debit) Cards

CardSecure lets you manage your SMFCU cards via your mobile app in real time. Protection against card fraud and misuse is now available right at your fingertips!

If your card has been stolen or fraudulent transactions have been posted to your account, simply turn off your card and call the Credit Union.

Best of all, the CardSecure service is integrated with your mobile banking app, so there’s no separate login. Just sign into your mobile app and select “My Cards” under the Quick link on the bottom. (If CardSecure is not installed, it will send the member to App/Play Store to download.)

VISA Gift Cards

South Metro also offers prepaid Visa gift cards*. You can use it like a credit card, but within strict spending limits. If your card is lost or stolen, you can get a replacement card at minimal cost.

Why Use a South Metro Gift Card?

  • It’s versatile. South Metro gift cards can be used anywhere you see the VISA logo.
  • It prevents identity theft. A gift card is safer to use when shopping online than a credit card or debit card.
  • It’s a great budgeting tool. Some parents give their kids an allowance in the form of monthly gift cards. You can’t “bounce” a gift card, so it’s much harder to overspend.
  • It’s safer than cash. If your card is lost or stolen, we’ll issue a replacement card at minimal cost.
