Q. Will I need to apply for a new Visa card to use Verified by Visa?
A: No. Verified by Visa is designed to protect the Visa card(s) you
already have. Please note: your card number is fully encrypted for your
protection when you submit it to check eligibility.
Q. We have two Visa Check Cards for our one account. How does Verified by
Visa work for us?
A: Each of you will register separately and create your own password. Please
note that if one cardholder's registers, then the other should too.
Q: Can I register multiple Visa cards?
A: Yes, you may register all your SMFCU Check Cards.
Q. What is a Personal Authentification Message?
A: When you pay online, this message will always appear before you enter
your password. This way you know you're using the actual Verified by Visa
service. (Tip: Use this as a brief reminder of your password. For example,
"moms birthday" could be your authentication message.)
Q: What if I forget my password?
A: If you forget your password, you can view your password hint by clicking
"Forgot your password" on the Verified by Visa password window. If you
still do not remember your password you will need to contact customer service
toll-free at 1-888-918-7490. You'll be provided a temporary password that you
can use to log in and create a new password.
Q: Once I sign up for Verified by Visa, will I enter my password wherever I
shop?
A: You'll enter your Verified by Visa password only in online stores that
